1127 started putting Tracking in 42° feels like 34 21mph winds put in a serpentine track to the left .Went to a field that was cut over proximately a month ago.  I remembered to put two flags at the start.  Used clothes pins in flagging tape on the ground in the turn would be 20 feet past the flag. The ground had short weeds coming up and still had tire tracks from the tractor.  We went to the first turn to the left Zane was going wide at the turn and went in the wrong direction I waited and he spun around and took off from that point on I was totally lost after setting up 2 completely opposite tracks and I was sure we were off target.  The wind is really gusting very strong but yet they we  were 5 feet to the right of the article he snatched it and I rewarded him. I had put several articles on the serpentine track because of the Highwinds and I didn’t want to test I wanted to train.  It’s a good thing I did because it reassured me to follow him. I also put a few extra treats but not many. We continued the track I was still lost but we kept passing markers finding articles when we got to the last article we had a big play session.

We started to track at 12:21 and completed it at 12:28

    Sounds like a wild and crazy time where you were lost a lot of the time. He did well to finish strong and enjoy a play session. I think in a post below you not the track was 900 yards long - is that correct? It would be helpful to have distance as part of the description. He is quite the tracking machine!

Serpentine track to the right .  Started putting track in 11:48 , weather conditions sunny 42° feels like 34 21 mph winds. The winds were really whipping up at this time probably the hardest track we’ve ever had to do. So again I put extra articles and treats.  At the first turn Zane wanted to go left instead of right we went around in circles but he definitely wanted to go to left which was toward the road and houses on the other side.  He then went back down the line from which we came and he noticed a groundhog hole that I hadn’t spotted so once again we went down the line and he still wanted to go to the left and again we did the same circle he definitely wanted to go towards the road  we finally turned to the right , we went a little ways and he found the article , glad I put it there so I knew we were back on track. monday february 3 2025 track and map

 time laid 12:30  time run -4:45 temperature 51 wind 7mph  humidity 65% goal  - duration  have the track down for a few hours before running it ran the track at ZB's woods , was some visual tracks as some leaves were still wet things done well he followed the trial fine impressed at the creek as it was a little tricky going down the embankment  over a gulley feeding the creek and back up the  creek bank improve on - the first 2 hiking trails we crossed he wanted to follow so I held my spot and he pick  up the right track track was 374 yards  food drops were 2 drops in each leg of the  track , next time will put extra food drop at hiking trails
